Emily and Rob are both prominent doctors at NYU, and seem to live the charmed life. Emily gets pregnant but immediately things from her past start popping up. Will she be able to have this baby. Both she and Rob get immediately excited, tell their family but it turns south. She has a miscarriage and slides into a small depression. Rob checks out, unable to process his emotions - when Emily needs him most. Emily flips back into life and hears a song, a song that is a blast from the past. Things between Emily and Rob continue to sour and they need a break. She leaves him her journal and he realizes his wife isn't whom he's known all these years - but now he knows her more and deeper.
