I absolutely loved this book. I am a huge baseball fan, as well as a romance reader and this hit the spot on all fronts. Gretchen is in the airport ready to take a flight, when she sees Joshua, and decides to purchase him a cup of coffee. They strike up a conversation and it ends with a one night stand. What they both don’t realize is how that one night stand has transformed them forever and it becomes so much more. Joshua is dealing with the end of his career, whether to end it or rehab himself. He’s also dealing with his Coach, closest friend going through some life changing illness. Gretchen has had Joshua on her “list” for years and she hasn’t told him, but her friend does. Creates a whole host of problems where they break up and even though she’s not using him as he thinks she is, they don’t speak for a while. Until she disguises herself and attends one of his games. He obviously knows its her, things are forgiven and romance continues. There are some steamy sex scenes, major hurdles and miscommunication – everything a good book should entail.
