A Low Country Bride
Maya was a designer of wedding gowns in NYC.
She worked for an incredibly notable designer, who gave her a chance but didn't fully support her ideas and designs. She held her back.
Maya's dad had a hip injury and she went back home to help him rehab.
Her boss wanted her to meet with some bridal shops around town and ask them to carry their designs, unpaid of course.
Derek owns the bridal shop in town.
It is slowly sinking.
Derek hires Maya to help him when his other employee retires.
She rehabs the place, showcases some of her designs and holds a trunk show that brings in some revenue.
