Everyone loves this book and it was good but I didn't absolutely need to read it, I would have been fine without reading it.
Alice marries Bennett but it's not the marriage she thought she would ever have
She becomes a traveling librarian that lands her in jail but not for actually doing something, she's proven innocent
There is alot of friendships, family ties and love in this book
