This turns out bad and then good
Brock can't keep his feelings in check and by the end of the trip, he's even more in love with Stella than he was before - he lets her know a little nip of his feelings, which she returns but not fully. She keeps referring to him/them as friends
Stella asks for time to get her dad issues as well as all her other baggage in check but still wants Brocks loving. He doesn't want to be used
They break up, he is offered the job in Idaho, which devastates Stella but she doesn't know he doesn't take it.
