Joylynn is pregnant and miserable and living with her mom and stepfather and 3 younger stepbrothers
She has issues with her parents divorce when she was a teenager. She never wanted to see her dad, he let her have that choice and went on with his life, working undercover for many years.
Garrick recently moved to Happily to take over a police position there. He moved next door to Wynn, which was the best thing he could have done. She's been so helpful in many ways
Joylynn's mom sends her to live with her dad for a while until her husband comes home from deployment, and they'll travel back to her moms house before getting their new duty assignment.
Joylynn hates this arrangement, she doesn't want to go to her dads house, still scared from childhood.
Garrick tries his hardest to work it out with her, he attends birthing classes with her, tells her all about his life and what happened after the divorce and realizes that his ex is one of the main reasons this rift has occurred.
Feelings start changing and Joylynn actually likes being with Garrick
Garrick and Wynn start to get closer and decided to make a family together
